Module 4
Mental exercises
Turning the diagnosis into daily training work.
An analysis on its own changes nothing, the work that follows does. Every player gets exercises that match their profile: breathing technique for the time-out, a reset routine after a missed shot, a pre-seven-metre ritual, half-time reflection. Five to ten minutes a day, whenever it fits. And as a coach you can see who actually sticks with it.
What's included
Everything this module covers, at a glance.
- Over 200 interactive exercises, automatically matched to the player's profile
- 5 to 10 minutes per session, doable alongside school, training and work
- Directly linked to the diagnostics: weaker dimensions get more weight
- Progress tracking with check-ins instead of plain tick lists
- Compliance overview: you see who trains and who needs support
- New content added regularly throughout the season
Recommended actions for you as a coach
Concrete: what you see in the data and what you do about it.
Make homework binding
Exercises fizzle out because they are only announced verbally in the locker room.
Assign exercises with a due date, individually, by position or to the whole squad, and review the overview before every second session.
Build on the diagnostics
One player scores well below the team average on focus and concentration.
Activate the focus series for him and check the score at the next re-assessment instead of giving everyone the same exercises.
Anchor matchday routines
Players know the technique but don't recall it during the game.
Have them practise the pre-seven-metre routine daily for two weeks and build it into your warm-up for good.
Keep an eye on participation
The compliance overview shows three players below 40 per cent.
Speak to them individually, cut back to one exercise a week if needed, and don't call them out in front of the team.

Why Breath Control Is Decisive in Handball
Before the 7-meter throw, during a fast break, in overtime at 1:1: in these moments, your breathing decides your performance.
🔬 Scientific Background
Controlled belly breathing activates the parasympathetic nervous system and lowers cortisol by up to 25%. The result: better reaction time, clearer decisions, and steadier fine motor control, exactly what you need for precise passes and shots.
🤾 Handball Context
- • Before a 7-meter throw: 2 deep breaths → focus on the target zone
- • After a mistake: exhale → reset → next action
- • During a time-out: box breathing → lower your pulse → take in the game plan
Is this a fit for your team?
Let's talk briefly: I look at your squad, your league and your goals and tell you honestly which modules make sense and which don't.
